About the brand

Seattle’s Best Coffee started in the ‘70s as Stewart Brothers Coffee,

an American coffee retailer and wholesaler based in Seattle, Washington.

Since 2003, they have been a subsidiary of American

coffeehouse chain Starbucks.

Seattle’s Best Coffee has retail stores and grocery sub-stores in 20 states and provinces and the District of Columbia.

They entered a competition to name the “best cup of coffee in Seattle,” and when their notably smooth taste earned them the coffee crown, they changed their name to Seattle’s Best Coffee.

Philosophy of rebranding

Seattle’s best coffee’s original logo has us confused whether they’re

serving coffee, eyedrop products or is it for blood donation ?

An unusual logo for a coffee shop.

When re-designing this logo we took into account Washington state

colours (crimson and grey) with the iconic space needle, a 605-ft.- tall spire at the Seattle Center, with an observation deck & a rotating restaurant.

Since its grand opening in 1962, the landmark continues to symbolize the innovative and forward-thinking spirit of Seattle.
